Voltammetric Determination of Azepine and Phenothiazine Drugs with DNA Biosensors
by Maria Vanickova, Miriam Buckova and Jan Labuda
Department of Analytical Chemistry, Slovak Technical University, 81237 Bratislava, Slovakia
Key words: drug analysis, DNA biosensors, differential pulse voltammetry
The preconcentration combined with differential pulse voltammetry was utilized for the trace determination of six antidepressive drugs at the surface and bulk phase-DNA modiffied paste electrodes. For accumulation time of 240 s, the detection limits at the level of nmol l-1 were obtained. The bulk phase modified biosensor was stable for a period of 3 months and the sensitivity of determination is comparable with that reported for the potentiometric stripping analysis measurement.
