We present two improvements of a rutine method of analysis of biogenic polyamines after their derivatisation with dabsyl chloride. The use of borate buffer during dabsylation offers much better reproducibility then bicarbonate one. Also trichloracetic acid extraction of polyamines from biological samples was found to be superior to perchloric acid extractin. Our studies eliminate the possibility to determine together biogenic polyamines and amino-acids using common extraction procedure.
