Key words: solid phase microextraction, volatile chlorinated hydrocarbons, drinking water, gas chromatography with electron-capture detection
Microextraction technique in liquid phase with the use of the fibres coated with polydimethylsiloxane phase for separation trichloromethane, tetrachloromethane and 1,1,1-trichloroethane from drinking water samples coming from the Upper Silesia was applied. Quantitative analysis was performed by using gas chromatography with electron capture detection (ECD). The contents of investigated compounds did not exceed the maximum permissible concentration recommended by WHO.
