Solvent Extraction of Pr(III), Nd(III), Sm(III) and Eu(III) with 5,7-Dichloro-8-hydroxyquinoline from Water and Water-Methanol Phases

The extraction of Ln(III) (Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu) with 5,7-dichloro-8-hydroxyquinoline in chloroform from water and water-methanol phase was studied. The parameters of the extraction process were determined and the separation factors of investigated pairs of lanthanides were calculated. In the presence of methanol in water phase the synergistic effect was observed.
