professional goals:

The purpose of this course is to learn structure, reactivity and biological activity of the different natural biomolecules.

Course description:

This course will cover the basic information about natural organic compounds: amino acids, peptides, proteins, carbohydrates, nucleic acids and vitamins. For each group structure, nomenclature, basic chemical reactions, synthesis and biological importance will be discussed.
