professional goals:

Accomplishment, by students, of ability to apply electroanalysis and read electroanalytical papers.

Course description:

Electrode processes. Transfer of electrons. Voltammetry. Electronic circuits in voltammatery. Types of electrodes: mercury, metallic, carbon, thin layer, modified, micro. Pulse voltammetries: normal, reversed, differential, square qave. Limited diffusional space. Electroanalysis in the absence of supporting electrolyte. Influence of adsorption and following chemical reactions. Ohmic drop and its elimination. Amperometric detectors. Conditions of good reproducibility in electroanalysis.

Required background:


Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry and electrochemistry.
