How to exploit your research results in the best manner?

Young PhD students are very talented in getting high quality research results but their experience in selecting the optimal scientific journal for publishing their data is rather limited. The lecturer will briefly outline the strategy that should be adopted in finding journals which would attract the largest readership of your future paper. First, he will discuss in detail strong and weak points of the most popular publishing companies (Elsevier, Wiley, Springer, RCJ, ACS, Nature Publishing Group, AAAS and others). Then, taking a specific set of recently obtained scientific data, he will demonstrate step by step the complete journal selection procedure, hoping that the audience will actively participate in this part of the lecture.
