professional goals:


To give an overview on principles of economics of environment protection.

Course description:

Economics and its connection with ecology and sozology (environmental destruction and protection) - the principles and basic rules. Economic effectiveness, S. Edmund's matrices. Sozo-economical analysis, investment effectiveness. Evaluation of cost-effectiveness of projects to secure minimum waste, calculus formulae; multivariate property, complexity. Menagement of environmental goods (open access to the public goods). Economics of clean manufacturing processes. Economical assessment of clean technologies - financial efforts and examples of low-cost activity in this area.

Required background:


Basic knowledge of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry.
