professional goals:


The goal of the seminar is to learn how to present scientific communications.

Course description:

Oral presentations by the participants (45 minutes per student) of some basic problems of theoretical chemistry and crystallography. The students learn how to plan and establish the logical structure of the work to be presented, how to prepare the presentation in order to highlight the main issue as well as what technical tools to choose. The speaker learns how to defend his thesis, and the audience participates in the discussion. The quality of the presentation is analyzed by the instructor and by the audience (strong and weak points, conclusions for future presentations).

Credit (granted for the oral presentation and attendance).
