Welcome to the world of nanoScience
Welcome to NanoOrgMat!
Led by professor Wiktor Lewandowski, we harness the power of organic chemistry and self-assembly processes for the synthesis, functionalization and organization of novel organic and hybrid (organic-inorganic) materials. Our main research interests circle around chiral nanomaterials, which include intrinsically chiral nanomaterials, chiral liquid crystals and supramolecular chirality in soft systems. We explore new ways to obtain chiroptical properties in thin films, in the ways of chirality transfer and amplification, both for plasmonics and circularly polarized luminescence.
We are located at the Faculty of Chemistry at University of Warsaw, Ochota Campus.

Professor Guido Clever's visit
29.04.2022
From 29th to 30th April we were honoured to host professor Guido Clever from Clever lab at Dortmund University in Germany. Professor Clever visited our facilities, talked with us about different branches of our research and gave very interesting talk on metallo-supramolecular assemblies, with special focus on dye-based assemblies, light-switchable and -harvesting systems and catalytically active architectures. Thank you for your visit! See photos from the visit in our Gallery :) here.
