From 29th to 30th April we were honoured to host professor Guido Clever from Clever lab at Dortmund University in Germany. Professor Clever visited our facilities, talked with us about different branches of our research and gave very interesting talk on metallo-supramolecular assemblies, with special focus on dye-based assemblies, light-switchable and -harvesting systems and catalytically active architectures. Our Team participates in an international conference EMRS Fall Meeting 2021! From 20th to 23rd September 2021 Dorota Grzelak, Sylwia Parzyszek and Wiktor Lewandowski from our Group participated in the 2021 Fall Meeting of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) virtual event. They presented the latest results from our research on plasmonic chirality and circular luminescence phenomena observable in thin films. |

In June representatives from our Group participated in XIV Kopernikańskie Seminarium Doktoranckie, which is a conference organized by Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, aimed to PhD students from Poland. From 10th to 14th April 2019 two students: Zuzanna Lawera & Szymon Szostak took part in exhibition Geneva Inventions in Switzerland. This is the largest innovation exhibition in the world, over 800 exhibitors from over 40 countries present their innovations in several categories. Zuzanna & Szymon presented the project: Pharma Grade Nanoparticles for the Construction of Novel Drug Delivery Systems and received gold medal in the category of medicine. |

On 6th december the prize-giving of the 8th edition of the Gold Medal of Chemistry competition took a place. A member of our group - Martyna Tupikowska was one of the winners. On 12th-13th of September 2018 members of our group participated in an international forum for scientists, business support organizations and students working in a nanotechnology. It was our first time, when we were at Business-to-Science Science-to-Business conference. This year's edition was focus on application of nanoscience in industry, in particular in medicine. During the symposium 8 members of our team presented posters of their own research. One of them - Piotr Szustakiwicz received a prize for the best poster. Congratulation! |
On 25th-29th of April 2018 a SSPtchem Spring Meeting in Skorzecin took place. The symposium attended 12 members of our team, who presented 8 oral communications and 4 posters of own research. During the meeting, our team's member- Zuzanna Lawera received a prize for the best oral communication in category First Degree Studies. She also received a prize money of 150 EURO funded by EVONIK for the best oral presentation. Congratulations! Apart from science, it was a great opportunity to integrate and spend time together! |
On 11th-14th of April we hosted scientists from Spain, Ana Sanchez-Iglesias and dr Marek Grzelczak in our laboratory. Ana works in BioNanoplasmonics Lab in Luis-Liz Marzan's group in San Sebastian. Marek has his own scientific group in Donostia International Physic Centrum. They are notable scientists, who, despite their young age, have huge experience in laboratory work and conduct research on really high level. The group of Luis-Liz Marzan is one of the best groups, which specialize in synthesis of anisotropic nanoparticles all around the world. We had amazing opportunity to hear about what they do in their laboratory, learn about their research results, but also carry out synthesis of anisotropic gold nanoparticles under the guidance of experts. It was really instensive, but also worthwhile meeting. We are really thankful for time, which they dedicated for us, and the knowledge, which they transmited to us. |
