__________Set-up for photoelectrochemical studies__________

In our laboratory we possess a full set-up suitable for photoelectrochemical studies. It consists of a light source with a power supply, automatic shutter, photodiode for light intensity and energy measurement and a potentiostat with an alternating current measurement option. This set-up allows to study photocurrent, photovoltage as well as capacitance. This allows to determine energy gap size and relative bands position in semiconducting materials. Plotting of measured electric parameters vs. intensity and energy of light allows to determine quantum efficiency of studied processes. On this basis photovoltaic cells can be constructed and their power conversion efficiency as well as long term stability can be studied.
